Visibility and flexibility creates next generation supply chain
DALLAS – January 10, 2012 – One Network Enterprises, a leading provider of demand-driven supply chain solutions in the cloud, announced today that it was selected as a strategic partner by IMPERIAL Logistics member company e-Logics, an application solutions specialist to introduce Africa’s first Demand Driven Value Network platform.
The partnership, in which e-Logics has been appointed as the hosting and solutions provider to One Network software in Africa will enable improved operational efficiency, lower inventory and transportation costs throughout the supply chain. One Network software as a service delivers improved service levels by reducing stock outs and late deliveries, as well as lower IT costs, enabling the transformation to lean value networks.
“Businesses, both large and small need a 360 degree view into all levels of logistics and the supply chain, structured and unstructured communication capabilities between network partners and global end-to-end tracking and visibility throughout the entire transaction lifecycle,” says Greg Brady, CEO of One Network Enterprises. “We could not be more excited about moving forward with e-Logics as we enter into the African market.”
“One Network’s planning and execution management capabilities enable improved integration and collaboration for optimized supply chains. By joining forces we can now offer solutions as services, as opposed to traditional licensing models with large upfront capital investment,” said Johann van der Westhuizen, e-Logics Managing Director. “This enables a low barrier of entry – coupled with low risk – into an entire trading community, from suppliers and retailers to manufacturers and carriers.”
“Every player will be able to work off the same forecast and replenishment plan, which also takes each player’s constraints into consideration. There will be no need to second guess each other anymore and it will bring about a lot of savings across the board. Everybody looks at a single version of the truth in real time,” concludes Marius Swanepoel, IMPERIAL Logistics Chief Executive Officer.
